I qualified in 2007 as an RGN; I have worked within the cardiac speciality for the majority of my career with 3 years on a busy acute cardiology ward followed by 8 years in a specialist Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. In 2017 I was successful in securing a role as a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Educator where I was able to consolidate all my knowledge and skills in supporting a General Critical Care Unit. Within this role I have worked hard creating training courses and induction packages along with being involved in organising student placements and supporting preceptorship programmes. I am currently working towards attaining my PCGE in Healthcare Education. I have recently joined the GMTH team as a Clinical Educator supporting the EELE care home pilot project working across Wigan and Stockport and working for Wigan and Bolton TH one day a week. I am delighted to be joining the team at this exciting time and look forward to putting my skills to use. I am passionate about education and supporting all healthcare staff; especially students, they are the future of our NHS and I would not be where I am today without the support and passion of those who trained and supported me throughout my career thus far.
